Facility Cook Per-Diem

Our inpatient facility houses 12 clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. Our spacious and newly remodeled facility is located on 4 private acres of land.
Position Open:

• Per Diem (As a per-diem employee, you will sign up for shifts at the beginning of each month). *Please note* the current needs are not a guarantee of hours.
  • Our current needs are:
    • Friday & Sunday 11:30am- 7:30pm
    • Saturday & Monday 5:30am- 2:00pm

Job Description:
The Facility Cook role will be responsible for providing meals for the clients and live-in staff while maintaining kitchen compliance by following the policies and procedures of Sierra Health and Wellness LLC and governing agencies. The Facility Cook will also maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized environment to ensure facilities are well stocked, organized, and sanitary.
Essential Functions:

• Check temps in all refrigerators and freezers where client food is stored
• Maintain sanitation in the kitchen(s) and all other food storage areas to proper health code requirements
• Implement and maintain a food prep schedule
• Provide a weekly menu for meals being served on a weekly basis
• Budget, purchase, and inventory all food/kitchen items
• Engage in proper and safe food storage after each meal and date the items
• Secure kitchen tools/knives properly and safely
• Follow the food pyramid to ensure nutrition
• Follow the Food Handler's regulations for proper food preparation, temperatures, and cook times.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have Food Handler's Certificate
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification. (Can be obtained upon hire)
• Current TB test and health screen. (Can be obtained upon hire)

Preferred education and experience:

• Two to five years of kitchen experience

Hourly: $21
