Under supervision of the Facilities Director, directs and supervises highly skilled trades personnel assigned to the Project Team, repair, and alteration of building structures, including interior and exterior renovations, following recognized procedures and techniques of the construction industry and LCCR standards, Project Foreman is a working foreman, responsible for directly performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks, responsible for daily and weekly planning and scheduling of work activities for the Project Team, which completes assigned projects that are appropriate for their level of skill and time availability, assists in planning, developing estimates, and implementing the phasing required to accomplish the assigned project, monitors the assigned work and enforces federal regulations governing environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal and the use of chemical substances and materials, manage, assist Engineering Technicians with construction means and methods, must be able to work on rotating shifts and/or set day/night work schedules as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Track labor, parts, and machine history in plant CMMS.

Maintain a written log of any highlights occurring during shift coverage in conjunction with proper ShiftNote entries.

Directs and coordinates the daily activities of the Project Team

Ensures that all equipment meets current state, federal and local code standards.

Assists Facilities Director in achieving and promoting department goals and objectives.

Assists with inspections of construction and installation process to ensure conformance to established specifications and codes.

Assures completion of assigned projects with quality workmanship.

Ensures LCCR property and equipment is protected from damage during assigned work by directing the removal of furniture, wall fixtures, and equipment from work sites if possible or covering immoveable items with protective cloths, using painting cloths or tarpaulins to cover floors and masking tape to protect woodwork, facings, and decorative trims, and supervising the construction of safe scaffolding in order to prevent damage.

Assists with the development of a competent and efficient construction workforce.

Assures that assigned trades personnel have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform their work.

Provides technical assistance in the purchase of new or replacement shop tools and equipment.

Contributes to a safe accident-free work environment.

Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

Attend all mandatory meetings and training.

Maintain confidentiality.

Display sensitivity to Native American Culture.

Operate within the parameters of the Little Creek Human Resource Policies, Departmental Policies and all other applicable regulations.

S.I.G.E. TRIBAL - STATE COMPACT & ACCOUNTING & INTERNAL CONTROL

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

May at times assume responsibilities for the Casino Resort during the absence of the Facilities Director and the Facilities Manager. Assist the maintenance supervisor by leading, guiding and training employees. Supervising facilities staff when the maintenance supervisor is not available.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, electrical schematics, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Must have strong troubleshooting ability and capable of following direction.

Other:

Basic computer skills required to include but not limited to completion of log sheets, shift communications and interdepartmental communications, and work order tracking.

Ability to work effectively alone and in a team environment.

Ability to follow and give oral and written instructions.

Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships.

Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School or equivalent

Certification from a college or technical school

OR completion of a trade school apprenticeship program

5 years of increasing responsibility in a supervisory position of construction personnel

Other Qualifications:

Applicable code requirements, including those Ability to work from plans and specifications

Methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery and equipment

Safety precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of electronic and mechanical equipment

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Class III Gaming License

Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record

Ability to complete the following trainings as required

Forklift operation certificate

Lock out tag out

Fall arrest

Confined space

SDS

Asbestos and lead identification

Ladder safety

Emergency evacuation
