Form of workPenguin Random House currently has two Maintenance Supervisor positions available. In this role, you will supervise daily maintenance and janitorial/housekeeping staff and work with operations management to ensure the facility is running smoothly.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan and prioritize tasks and assignments to achieve collective organizational goals
- Effective and ongoing communication with operations management to resolve operating problems
- Act as a technical source for problem solving
- Order material for planned work
- Coordinate the services of outside vendors and contractors
- Establish procedures and schedules for preventive maintenance work
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities and hazardous materials
- Provide regular guidance and feedback to staff to strengthen the teams core knowledge
We are seeking candidates who:
- possess knowledge of general building and processing equipment
- have effective communication skills
- have prior knowledge in both electrical and mechanical maintenance
- possess the ability to manage ongoing tasks and projects
- work effectively under pressure
- are skilled in motivating and leading others
- have effective computer skills to include MS WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK.
Experience and Education
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a maintenance related field
- Prefer at least 2 years of supervisory responsibilities
Working Hours: Third Shift - Sunday - Thursday 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
Weekend Shift - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
