Job Description
As an Extraction Specialist, you will need to have experience as an Extraction Technician with an extensive background in either Cannabis and/or Organic and Inorganic chemistry for Medical and Recreational purposes. This position is responsible for commercial production as well as refinement to the existing process and the development of new ones. This position takes direction and completes tasks assigned by the Lab Director, with the primary responsibility to monitor, maintain and organize the efficiencies of the production area while adhering to all State and local requirements.

Responsibilities:- Prepares equipment and plant materials for extraction.
- Ability to understand and operate highly sophisticated extraction equipment.
- Maintain laboratory and equipment cleanliness to meet the state and local requirements.
- Maintain inventory records of all plant materials, chemicals and equipment used in the lab.
- Operating, maintaining, repairs and adjustments to lab equipment.
- Perform clerical work related to all lab related activities such as, record keeping, filing, phone inquiries and computer work.
- Able to navigate a POS system and maintain inventory

- Must be able to lift as much as 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to carry, bend, stand, file documents, lift, and push/pull as needed
- May be required to stand for long periods of time.
- May involve some repetitive motion
- Must be able to lift-up to 75 pounds
- May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers
- Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold

- Must be 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in an extraction facility setting that adheres to and complies with the strict health and safety policies and procedures for Cannabis-infused or nutraceutical products.
- 2 years Lab experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Biology (Optional).
- Proficient in METRIC.
- Must be proficient in the Principles of Biochemistry, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry.
- Must be proficient in laboratory procedures, techniques and language used in a Chemistry lab.
- Must be proficient in the scientific methods of measurements.
- Must be proficient in the proper safety and handling of harmful chemicals, substances, and hazardous waste.
- OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 Certified
- Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions .
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization.
- Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Perform basic visual quality inspections on products .
- Maintain the production pace of other team members .
- Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed
