Job Title: Exploitation Analyst SME - TS/SCI Required
Position Summary:
The Exploitation Analyst SME is responsible for applying expertise defined by AN-EXP-001 within the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Framework. They conduct comprehensive penetration testing activities and assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a quarterly schedule for proposed penetration tests.
Define and document the scope of penetration testing engagements.
Utilize Open Source and/or Unclassified Intelligence resources to identify and assess cybersecurity threats and activities.
Conduct reconnaissance to gather information about target systems.
Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
Penetrate target networks using authorized resources and techniques.
Measure the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
Report critical findings to Government leadership.
Automate penetration testing activities.
Develop a vulnerability remediation plan for each tested application.
Conduct leadership briefs and after-action reviews on penetration tests.
Recommend cybersecurity testing tools and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
Extensive experience in conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
TS/SCI clearance.
Strong understanding of the NICE Cybersecurity Framework (AN-EXP-001).
Knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security
methodologies.
Familiarity with risk management processes.
Understanding of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Proficiency in network traffic analysis methods.
Familiarity with various communications media and computer components.
Experience with malware analysis and identification.
Knowledge of intelligence disciplines and their application.
Familiarity with network security technologies, encryption algorithms, and cyber
capabilities/tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security
Certified Professional (OSCP), or GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN).
Experience with penetration testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite).
Knowledge of web application vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, cross-site scripting).
Familiarity with cloud security and virtualization technologies.
Understanding of threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
