MLB seeks an Executive Assistant to provide administrative, project and senior-level executive support while exercising a high level of professionalism, discretion, attention to detail, and responsiveness. The primary focus of this position is to provide support to the Executive Vice President, Media and Business Development. The position will be based in MLB's NYC headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a fast-paced environment and partner with the Executive Vice President to develop a deep understanding of their goals, priorities, and operating cadence to proactively provide support
- Manage the Executive Vice President's day-to-day calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters
- Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and managing catering when necessary
- Coordinate all travel and expenses for the Executive Vice President
- Provide administrative assistance, such as writing and editing emails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the executive's behalf
- Perform related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of office administrative experience for senior-level executives or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent organization, communication, writing, and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented demeanor
- Excellent computer aptitude and advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite. Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Workshare, Concur, PowerPoint, Salesforce or other electronic management systems strongly preferred
- Ability to perform duties while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
- A bias towards action coupled with the ability to work independently
- Available to work overtime, as necessary

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $75,000 to $105,000.
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees.
