POSITION SUMMARY
The Events Coordinator position that is part of the Marketing and Communications team, and reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, with a dotted line to the Chief Philanthropy Officer. The role will help us plan and project manage the foundation’s events, from venue and vendor management to attendee outreach and communications. Events will include our regular cadence of smaller-scale engagements, as well as our larger 75th anniversary events in 2023. The position will also support events held by our Philanthropy and Gift Planning team for donor cultivation and stewardship. Events will cater to a variety of audiences, including donors, grantees, and our internal team. Depending on public health recommendations, events will be either hybrid in nature, or fully remote.
TASKS
2-5 years of event planning experience
Track record of successful event project management
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and customer service skills
Commitment to the San Francisco Foundation’s work on racial equity and economic inclusion.
Familiarity with the Bay Area
Familiarity with project management software
Familiarity with nonprofits and philanthropy
