Event Crew Member

The Hutton House is a premier, luxurious event venue located just outside of Minneapolis in Medicine Lake. We are a small, close-knit, women-operated team that are passionate about the hospitality and events industry. We host a wide range of events from weddings to galas, business meetings, and celebrations of life, and are looking to add a Production Crew to our team!

PRODUCTION CREW

This position will be responsible for overseeing a successful event set-up in between each and every event that we host here at The Hutton House. Event floorplans are established by the Event Coordinating team prior to set-up, and equipment (including but not limited to banquet tables, chairs, mobile bars, hightops and cocktail tables, etc.) is stored onsite. We rely on our Production Crew to execute each event set-up with a strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety in mind, as this is an important piece in ensuring an exceptional experience for our clients and their guests.

This is a part-time, labor intensive position requiring early morning and late evening hours. Shifts range from 1-2.5 hours in length, including anywhere from 4 to 10 shifts scheduled per week, depending on the volume of our event calendar.

QUALIFICATIONS

-Proven event set-up experience is preferred.

-Ability to accurately read and recreate an established floorplan map/key with the inventory provided onsite.

-Timeliness, attention to detail, and communication skills are valuable in this position.

-This role requires frequent physical labor including but not limited to lifting over 50 pounds, repetitive bending, standing for a majority of your shift, etc.

-Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as needed.

-Comfortable working regular weekend dates, late night and early morning shifts, as this position requires set-up and take-down to take place in between our scheduled events.

PAY

-Competitive Industry-Based Salary & Benefits

-This is a part-time position. Scheduled hours may vary week to week depending on volume of events, with peak hours being between the months of May through October.
