Main duties and responsibilities WHAT YOU WILL DO HERE This position will work with the EH&S Manager in the coordination of all environmental/protection and safety activities within the Clarion Boards and Clarion Laminate plants required by Local, State and Federal laws. This position, in conjunction with the EH&S Manager, will be the contact person for plant personnel and management regarding environmental issues and complaints related to odor, air emissions, residual waste streams and for the DEP regarding air quality issues, residual waste issues, local issues and complaints.
They will also work in conjunction with the EH&S Manager in developing, planning, training, performing, and monitoring risk reduction and safety engineering programs or projects as they relate to the elimination or control of hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment and machine operations. Requirements WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or related field Minimum 2 years of similar job experience Excellent Communication skills A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint, publisher) and other various computer systems Keen attention to detail Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD Previous experience working with state and local Environmental agencies preferred Previous environmental compliance in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Previous experience in a multi shift environment a plus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sitting, standing on concrete, walking, climbing, lifting, push/pulling, reaching, bending, seeing, hearing, dexterity of hands and fingers, and written and verbal communication.
