Position Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to uphold Associated Credit Union's mission statement: To offer members
financial products that fulfill their needs, service that exceeds their expectations, and relationships that inspire their
trust.
This role will be responsible for providing ongoing analysis of ACU’s Enterprise security initiatives, ensuring that best practices are being observed in an effort secure member data and protect the credit union’s digital assets. Stay abreast of latest information security threats as well as techniques, strategies, and technology to mitigate such threats.
Essential Functions & Core Duties
Enterprise Security Systems Administration
The Enterprise Security Analyst I is responsible for managing aspects of the enterprise security stack at ACUincluding but not limited to software patching, enterprise security alert monitoring and response, email security, network access control and web filtering.- The Enterprise Security Analyst I, will also provide support in preparing for independent and regulatory exams.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent knowledge required.
Experience can be credited in lieu of education.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of Information Technology/Cybersecurity experience is preferred.
Experience can be combined experience between Information Technology and Cybersecurity. Advanced
certifications are recommended.
Core Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills are a must. Must be able to clearly convey information and present it at a level that can be understood by the intended audience. Communications skills should span the written and verbal spectrum.
- Strong troubleshooting skills are necessary to be successful in this position. You must have the ability to logically think through issues that arise using skill and experience.
- Ability to analyze threats and quickly determine the severity of the threat and appropriate response is critical.
- Ability to work in time sensitive situations that can be pressure packed while maintaining composure.
- A desire to provide outstanding service to our employees and members is required.
- Ongoing desire to improve processes and systems to bring added efficiency and shorter response times.
- Be willing to adapt to change as needed. Change is inevitable and you must be able to quickly change course.
General Operational Requirements:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required.
Performance Metrics
Ensure that we are fully protecting our members’ personal information possible by achieving satisfactory audit scores from independent auditors and the state and federal regulators.- Ensure departmental SLAs are met within the time frame given.
- Completing all assigned tasks by the assigned deadline.
- Communicating with team members and relevant departments regarding any critical situations.
- Effectiveness in communicating, coordinating, and executing tasks with diverse business units and support areas.
- Responsiveness to request and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive and constructive attitude.
