Job Summary and Description
Provides strategic direction and operational leadership in developing and supporting IT Security and Network Infrastructure solutions and processes for Alamo Colleges District and District Departments. Serves as liaison and subject matter expert between Information Technology Services Security division and Network Operations along with all Alamo Colleges District entities wishing to deploy business solutions requiring IT infrastructure and Security integration. Defines and optimizes all processes related to infrastructure solutions and their implementation at the Alamo Colleges District.

QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
- Seven years of experience performing an IT Infrastructure supervision or technology liaison role with major business function(s), with responsibility for planning, translating, and managing major technology projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in technology architecture and systems design best practices.
- Experience in infrastructure and application security analysis and vulnerability assessment.
- Familiarity with PKI and encryption standards required; experience working with PKI management systems such as Active Directory Certificate Services preferred.
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining security infrastructure (e.g. Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, Web Content Filters, Proxies, DLP, SIEM, Log Analysis Platforms) is required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field.
- Ten years of experience performing a technology infrastructure/network liaison role with major operational business function(s), with responsibility for planning, translating, and managing major technology projects.
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining security infrastructure (e.g.Fortinet Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, Web Content Filters, Proxies, DLP, SIEM, Log Analysis Platforms) is required.
- Five years of work-related experience in a higher education institution.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Prefer CISSP, SSCP, ISSAP, or CISA certification(s).
