Job Description

About Yuvo

Yuvo works to increase access to primary care by supporting federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), the institutions that have dedicated the most to care for underserved communities. We work with FQHCs to help scale the quality of care they provide by providing access to new payment systems, developing and optimizing operational infrastructure, and convening partnerships in the broader care ecosystem so that they can increase their capacity and deliver the highest quality of care to their communities.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Application Architect, with hands-on experience in the healthcare domain, to join our team and help us design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level healthcare applications.

In this role, you will leverage extensive experience with enterprise application architecture, including experience with programming languages (such as Java, C#, etc.), databases, web technologies, and infrastructure. A true subject matter expert, you possess a solid understanding of the principles and best practices of software engineering, and are able to apply this knowledge to developing secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions. This role will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

This position requires strong communication and organization skills, as you will need to work collaboratively with the development and operations teams, manage project timelines, and drive the completion of projects.

This is a fully remote position for employees based in the United States.

There can be up to 25% market travel depending on the identified needs of our FQHC partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze business requirements for enterprise applications, and develop technical solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Design and develop enterprise applications, using a variety of programming languages, databases, web technologies, and infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and diagrams.
  • Streamline and improve existing solutions, by identifying areas of optimization and introducing new technologies as necessary.
  • Work with the development and operations teams to ensure that all solutions meet security, reliability, and scalability requirements.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of project plans, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and best practices in enterprise application architecture.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in the healthcare domain.
  • Extensive knowledge of programming languages, databases, web technologies, and infrastructure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working with clinical interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR
  • Proficiency in various process mapping and documentation tools (Confluence, LucidChart, Shortcut, etc)

What We’d Like To See

  • Experience working in an early stage startup, with the willingness and ability to own a product domain from the earliest stages (research, discovery, and validation) through to execution and scalability

Benefits

Base Salary Range: $155,000 - $170,000/year

Benefits

  • Unlimited vacation leave
  • Paid parental leave
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • $500 reimbursement for reasonable work equipment in the first year of employment
  • Stock options
