JMT is seeking an Engineering Technician who will be responsible for performing technical reviews. Specifically reviewing, coordinating and compiling comments on development projects with client staff. Sponsorship is not available for this position
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Follow direction from client managers to review subdivision street and commercial entrance reviews
- Actively participate in plan review meetings with client staff and oversee the discussion of comments to obtain consensus
- Coordinate with other reviewers providing comments and compile comments
- Meet client defined comment review schedule with built in milestones
- Attend meetings with site engineers and developers regarding their proposed development projects
- Work a minimum of three days per week in client office located in Dover, DE

Required Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in REVU Bluebeam software preferred
Required Experience
- Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Computer Aided Drafting Design Technology, preferred
Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Office work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
Work is performed in the field 5% of the time. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. and walking project limits as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
