We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Engineering Specialist within our ORCM Delaware Basin Capital Management group based in Houston, TX.
This position offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is looking to learn and work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will also necessitate working closely with numerous Asset Teams, and departments, such as Finance, Planning, Land, Production Accounting, IT and Data Management.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provide data, information, and support to Asset Engineering Staff daily
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Asset databases, surveillance tools, and
- digitization projects to support the Asset operations:
- Input, maintain, QC, extract, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Ensure data anomalies are corrected at the source.
- Recognize and resolve data inaccuracies.
- Maintain pattern configurations & special views from standard tables
- Provide support as needed to assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly
- management reports
- Assist in the preparation and/or review of capital project requests for the corporate
- Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) system, as well as individual project
- expenditure requests
- Assist with special projects, including scenario preparation for portfolio capital
- optimization and its impact on other Business Key Performance Indicators such as
- production, TSPB, LOE
- Create and utilize spreadsheets and databases to screen and analyze data,
- recognize variations and opportunities, generate plots, build scorecards and
- presentations, from a variety of sources.
Qualifications:
- Two to Three years of applicable industry or data management and analytics/reporting experience.
- Basic understanding of finance, field production systems, and associated data flows
- Strong data management skills with demonstrated ability to build, maintain and extract information from large datasets.
- Strong database and programming language skills like R, Python, VBA, C#
- Ability to create Spotfire and Power BI projects utilizing customization via JavaScript, and IronPython
- Proficient at extracting, manipulating, correcting, and analyzing data with different tools(Spotfire, Tableau, Microsoft Power Platform, Access and Excel).
- Ability to interact effectively with team members and other personnel at various levels of responsibility and to handle a variety of roles within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent team player that can work independently under minimal supervision when required
- Capable of handling multiple assignments, setting priorities and delivering results under time constraints and at times with limited data
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Track record of reliability and high-quality results
- Experience working with diverse business groups and functions
