Job Description
HII is looking for a qualified Journeyman engineer to advise and assist the government in applying scientific methods and robust, rigorous support equipment (SE) processes, hands-on data coding, and general engineering support to enable continuous data development and testing of system components of Special Programs (WWG) projects and programs. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance and is located at Eglin AFB, FL.
Description:
- Generate optimized data files in support of WWG projects and programs.
- Perform rapid reprogramming of fielded data to resolve issues identified by operational users and implement increased capabilities to meet mission requirements.
- Coordinate with WWG contractors and other DoD laboratories to ensure data developed for WWG programs integrates seamlessly.
- Identify, describe, and analyze system interface requirement and system interface standards for WWG projects and programs.
- Identify, describe, analyze, and review interoperability requirements for WWG projects and programs
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis including the development and documentation of data reduction and processing software, development of computer generated data products, and development and implementation of data storage/retrieval capabilities.
- Develop new and improved test methodologies, as required, to successfully execute testing for WWG efforts.
- Support and conduct a wide variety of T&E activities at multiple locations.
- Develop and use simulations to verify and validate data products prior to fielding.
- Execute and/or analyze hardware-in-the-loop threat simulation tests to verify and validate various types of data products prior to fielding
- Provide engineering analysis of T&E activity data, interpretation of system performance data, application of test results to test objectives, and other analysis support tasks.
- Provide fielding recommendations for various types of data products.
- Prepare technical status briefings documenting test progress, accomplishments, and problem areas associated with WWG projects and programs.
- Provide advice and assistance in the management and upgrade of all T&E resources including specialized test support equipment and infrastructure
- Support the integration of new or modified equipment and systems to enhance existing
- Provide technical expertise to support acquisition activities for WWG projects and programs through all phases of the acquisition lifecycle. This includes participating in acquisition strategy analysis and planning; developing and documenting decision support systems and models; developing and maintaining test schedules to program milestones; and participating in user requirement groups, TIMs, PMRs, TPWGs, ITTs, PDRs, CDRs, and other technical and programmatic reviews.
- Develop and update user support documentation such as system handbooks, test plans, test reports, and documentation of systems software per AFI 10-703.
Minimum Qualifications
Journeyman level must have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant DoD work experience with no less than eighteen (18) months' experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment and a BA/BS degree.
