Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK-12 school serving 1,250 students. OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a full-time Performing Arts who can continue to help build our elementary school arts program. The position entails designing and delivering a curriculum for elementary school students who will have Performing Arts classes during the regular school day. The position is located at our elementary school on 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park.
The compensation for Match teaching positions ranges from $61,200-$97,920 and is based on a candidate's prior years of teaching experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of health insurance costs and student loan repayment assistance.
We would like the Performing Arts teacher to offer a mix of classes in vocal music, instrumental music, dance, improv theater, and musical theater. There is a budget available for equipment and supplies. We have a dedicated Performing Arts classroom space.
The Performing Arts teacher will:
Design curriculum and teach Performing Arts classes
Teach classes at multiple grade levels
Assist with duties to uphold a positive and safe school culture
Participate in regular professional development, coaching sessions, and faculty meetings
Performs other duties assigned as a member of the school faculty
QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for applicants who:
Have at least 1-3 years prior experience as an Performing Arts teacher, ideally with elementary school-aged children
hold a valid and appropriate license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or obtain the licensure within a year of date of hire
Articulate a clear vision for an elementary school Performing Arts curriculum
Demonstrate skill in designing and delivering lessons
Demonstrate skill in building effective relationships with students and colleagues
Hold a deep belief that all students can and will succeed
Possess a desire to continually improve their practice as an educator by taking and implementing feedback
