Duties/Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to the following)
- Failure analysis and repair on products returned by consumers. Troubleshoot circuits that have failed in the field. Determine problems and consequently fixes for the problems so that circuits can pass testing in preparation to be shipped back to customers.
- Data collection to help improve quality by performing detailed problem analyses that can be reported to Quality and Engineering.
- Rebuilding/refurbishing product for sale on eBay.
- General assembly and production work may also be required as needed by the production manager.
- Assisting with building test equipment, harnesses or first articles as needed by Engineering. Some computer programming may also be required.
Qualifications/Required Experience:
- Electronics Engineering Technology degree preferred.
- Ability to maintain focus and concentration while doing detailed touch-up work for 6-8 hours per day.
- Hands-on experience with soldering, troubleshooting and building circuits.
- Ability to build products from scratch using a schematic and tools and supplies provided. Or assist with identifying and obtaining the right tools and supplies.
- Demonstrate high level of dependability and reliability.
- Work in a team oriented environment and learn new ideas/methods quickly.
- Work efficiently with little supervision. Self-motivated.
- Handle multiple tasks and priorities using effective organizational and time-management skills.
