Supervisors report to a Division Manager or the person designated by the Division Manager and are responsible for the management of jobs and/or work orders assigned to them as well as ensuring all work is performed in accordance with existing Watson Electrical policies and procedures. Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial, industrial and residential electrical construction industry.
Must use reason and logic, perform arithmetical operations rapidly and accurately, see detail in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings, and picture flat drawings as 3-dimensional objects. Is accountable for work layout, leading and working along with a crew, and assuring that materials, tools equipment, and information are on the job site in the proper places, ahead of time. Monitor and control, by review and verification, all paperwork related to assigned jobs and/or work orders, but not limited to: Time Sheets, Production Reports, Foreman's Weekly Report, Receiving Reports, Field Purchase Orders, and two-week look ahead.
Monitor and control, by review, the reports designated in the GPOP, Instructions for Computer Reports.
Monitor and control the Company’s established policies and procedures concerning, but not limited to:
The Division Office Operations Procedures (GPOP).
Quality Assurance Program.
Assignment of foremen to projects.
Review and approve estimates and design/build projects within authorized limits.
Recommend changes concerning material, labor, and EPAS.
Accountable to management for, but not limited to, project related general, technical and engineering problems.
Wage rates, labor, training and supervision of assigned jobs/work orders.
Number of trucks being driven to a work site.
Storage facilities on job sites.
Safety on projects:
Security of material, tools and equipment.
Licenses: Current driver’s license if required by job conditions; applicable federal, state and local licenses as required by job conditions or by the company.
Certifications: Applicable federal, state and local certifications as required by job conditions or by the company.
Education: High School Graduate, holder of G.D, or equivalent Watson training.
Experience: Required or necessary experience and/or training to assure all aspects of position are performed efficiently and productively while operating in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.
Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).
Work from all types of ladders (step ladders up to 14’, “A” frame ladders, all size extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12’ step ladder by himself.)
Wear personal protective equipment as required in Safety Handbook.
Able to work 40 hours per week, overtime as required, night shifts; work out of town if needed.
Understand the meanings and relationships of words and use language effectively.
Work with numbers accurately to review budgets, materials, and time schedules.
See details and recognize errors in written material, numbers, charts, or tables.
Comprehend reading and drawing prints and schematics of same.
Operate equipment, trenchers, lift trucks, etc. Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
Operate two handed tools and equipment as required.
Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered).
Work energized circuits and equipment as outlined in Safety Policy.
Supervise assigned job site employees to complete project.
Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder, or stairs still under construction but acceptable for use.
Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
