Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Participate within a cross-functional design team.
- Understand and interpret high level requirements to conceptualize and generate electrical design solutions and specifications that contribute toward our next generation of Spectrophotometers, Colorimeters, and Color Imaging Instruments.
- Conduct Design review meetings.
- Contribute to the design of the next generation of Spectrophotometers, Colorimeters, and Color Imaging Instruments
- Develop firmware using the latest software development tools
- Develop schematics, BOM, PCB layouts for scientific color measurement instruments
- Design and troubleshooting analog & digital circuits of cutting edge optical-electrical design involving optical sensors
- Work with Research & Development team including Optical Engineer and Software engineers and research
- Determine instrument performance specifications
- Develop and document test protocols and procedures
- Work closely with test engineering technicians for prototype builds, experiments, data collection and analysis
- Evaluate third part solutions to meet our application needs
- Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and its impact
- 0-1 years of electrical engineering design experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with microcontrollers and C/C++
- Experience with designing and troubleshooting
- Experience with Altium Designer
- PCB layout skills
- Working knowledge and utilizes schematic entry and simulation
- Experience with current microcontrollers
- Experience working in a manufacturing-based environment.
- Experience handling a product development project independently from initial concept through final prototype stage.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite Software products.
- Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and locations
