SUMMARY:
An equipment manufacturing company is looking to hire an Electrical and Controls Designer in Oldsmar, FL. This position is responsible for utilizing PLC's for designing, programming and debugging electrical and control systems for custom automation/production equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proficient with SolidWorks 3D design software.
* Familiar with different types of PLCs (e.g. Allen Bradley, Micro820, Unitronics, Samba, Click).
* Proficient in AutoCAD 2D design software.
* Electrical Design Experience: 1+ years
* Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Familiar with UL and CE electrical industry standards.
* Familiar with PLC communication protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP, ProfitNet).
* Familiar with electrical industrial automation components (e.g. photoelectric sensors, proximity sensors, I/O distribution blocks, DC motor controllers, AC variable frequency motors).
* Familiar with mechanical industrial automation components (e.g. linear slides, rotary actuators).
* Familiar with vision systems (e.g. Cognex, Keyence).
* Able to research and quickly learn to use new components and PLCs.
* Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 3-5 years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
