Who We Are Looking For:

At Nurture, we are on the lookout for compassionate individuals who share our passion for supporting families through the miracle of childbirth. We seek trained Elective Ultrasound Technicians who already possess the necessary skills and training. However, we recognize that talent and passion can come from a variety of backgrounds. That's why we are also very open and willing to provide internal training to individuals who have a medical or prenatal background and are keen on embracing this role. Whether you are a medical professional, a labor and delivery nurse, a doula, or an RN, you could be the perfect fit for our team. Position Overview:

We are seeking a warm and skilled Part-time Elective Ultrasound Technician to join our team. Our next team member will have experience in ultrasound technology with a focus on creating a memorable experience for families, or the desire and aptitude for internal training to learn the position. This position will play a crucial role in providing high-quality ultrasound images for families to cherish, ensuring a safe and positive experience.

Please be aware that this is a non-medical, non-diagnostic position. Your role is to provide a memorable experience by capturing images, videos, and recording the heartbeat of the baby only. Nurture does not provide any medical data or evaluations during the ultrasound sessions, even if asked by the client or if the technician has other medical knowledge. This position is focused solely on creating keepsakes for families to cherish.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform elective, non-medical prenatal ultrasound sessions to capture high-quality images and videos and heartbeat of the baby.

- Create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere for families during ultrasound sessions.

- Explain the ultrasound process to clients and ensure they have a memorable experience.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.

- Collaborate with other team members to provide a comprehensive spa experience.

Qualifications:

- A passion for the prenatal journey that moms are on!

- Excellent ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for clients.

- Certification or training in Ultrasound Technology (or aptitude to be trained internally).

- Experience in performing ultrasounds, with a focus on prenatal imaging (or aptitude to be trained internally).

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Excellent appointment time management skills.

Pay Rate:

- $25-30/hour during booked times + TIPS

- While tipping is not expected or required of our clients, many choose to express their gratitude through tips. Please note that any tips received are 100% retained by you, the technician, as a token of appreciation for your exceptional service and the memorable experience you provide.

Scheduling and Booking:

Our scheduling system allows clients to book appointments during your designated bookable times, ensuring that you can plan your day effectively.

- Hours: This is a part-time position that includes some Saturdays (average 2 per month) and some weekday hours (evening). We value flexibility and will work with you to determine a schedule that aligns with both your availability and the needs of Nurture.

- Bookable Hours: We will set your online bookable schedule by specifying the hours you are available for bookings each week. This flexibility allows you to balance your work at Nurture with other commitments.

- Appointment App: You will have access to a user-friendly app that displays your upcoming booked appointments. This tool will help you stay organized and prepared for each session.

- Cut-off Time: To ensure that you can plan your day effectively, we have a cut-off time in place. Appointments cannot be booked less than a specific time period in advance. This policy gives you clarity on your schedule and prevents last-minute bookings.

- Work on Demand: You will only work when you have booked appointments. This allows for a flexible work environment that adapts to your availability and our clients' needs.
