Position Title: Edge Data Center Engineering – Implementation I (P3)

Role:
In the role of an Edge Data Center Engineer-Implementation I, you will be part of a forward-thinking Edge Engineering Team. You will be responsible for planning, maintaining, and engineering the installation of network equipment within Crown Castle Facilities and POP locations. This will include new buildouts supporting our colocation customers within our own Data Centers. You will create detailed installation specifications and drawings associated with each project that falls under your responsibility. The Edge DC Engineering-Implementation team will work with various departments to implement and complete projects within a specified period and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain critical POP infrastructure & DC power plants
- Project Management & Implementation
- Engineer Edge spatial layout designs
- Create Purchase Orders, Material Requests, and Logistics
- Create Change Management MOPS and Manage to Completion
- Vendor management
- Plan annual and project budgetary requirements

Education/Certifications
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in datacenter edge infrastructure
Experience/Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of AC/DC power including DC rectifiers, BDFB and power cable sizing
- Knowledge of Telcordia installation standards
- Familiarity with standard drawing; floor, rack, one-line, construction drawings
- Knowledge of creating detail installation packages for network equipment, customer colocation and superstructure
- Knowledge of network design and capacity planning

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week). There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that will require travel.
