Job Summary of the PRN Echo Vascular TechnologistResponsible for performing all assigned diagnostic ultrasound exams in a timely manner. Performs procedures according to physician’s orders or per prescription on outpatients. As a member of the care team, the Ultrasound Sonographer is responsible for working collaboratively with other members to assure safe and accurate delivery of patient care. Assumes, under the direction of the Laboratory, responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications of the PRN Echo Vascular TechnologistEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound
- Certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of cardiac ultrasound
- One year of echocardiography experience preferred
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- BLS required per St. David’s HealthCare Policy
