Director of Sales & Marketing for Hotel Complex at OSU
We are hiring a Director of Sales and Marketing to oversee the sales efforts for our Ohio State University Marriott and Residence Inn Hotels. Our design is the perfect blend of full service and extended stay which allows our guests with space to relax, collaborate with colleagues and enjoy food and beverage or host their ideal meeting. The hotels share some amenities including Moda Couture restaurant and bar, 2000 square foot fitness center, exterior courtyards. The hotels combined offer over 354 guest rooms and just under 12,000 square feet of event space just steps away from Ohio State University Campus.
The ideal candidate is a service-oriented, motivated, passionate, and collaborative individual who has a deep understanding of how to develop strong relationships with customers, how to effectively prospect, and how to lead a team positively and creatively. The Director of Sales will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer to boost top-line revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Effectively lead department in always providing the highest quality of service to customers
- Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets.
- Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Understand and keep up to date with industry and competitive landscape knowledge.
- Guide sales and marketing efforts as well as advertising tasks, public relations, and administrative reporting.
- Define and implement sales and marketing activities according to the Marketing Plan.

Qualifications
- Prior Director of Sales Experience (3+ years) required.
- Strong market knowledge.
- Hotel Leadership Experience (5+ years) required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to assess financial and competitive data to make informed decisions.
- Successful history of leading & motivating sales team members & coaching team members toward success.
