DSHS Nurse Manager - Registered Nurse 4

This position will be responsible for several wards at OHBH. You will plan and direct all nursing functions in assigned areas in accordance with Nursing and Hospital standards to ensure consistent patient care delivery.
This is a part-time role for every Sat & Sun from 7pm-7:30am.
KingCounty employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.
Some of what you'll do:
- Plans and directs all nursing functions in assigned areas
- Communicate with all levels of the hospital organization
- Allocates nursing resources
- Articulates and interprets nursing care standards, Medicare, state and federal laws
- Performs key leadership functions
- Remains current in Nursing Practice, roles, and functions of all patient care team members
- Evaluates patient care delivery system
- Respond to and formulate complex reports
- Complete employee evaluations and audits
- Conduct regularly scheduled nursing staff meetings, meet with supervisors and Center RN4 on the different shifts, provide consistent messages about vision, mission, standards of care within the discipline and the hospital
- Other duties as assigned
We are looking for an RN who has:
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing AND four years of professional nursing experience including two years in a lead capacity over other nursing personnel
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or higher degree involving major study in nursing may be substituted for two years of nonsupervisory experience
- One year of full-time experience teaching nursing may be substituted for one year of supervisory experience
Other skills and abilities:
- Master’s degree or higher is preferred
- A valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
- ANCC certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing preferred
- Expert Knowledge of hospital, state, federal regulatory standards, policies, and procedures
- Current chronological resume
- A cover letter that describes your leadership style and experience
- Three professional references with current contact information
