Form of workSUMMARY: The Delivery Technician is responsible for making water treatment and supply deliveries to the home dialysis patients. This is done under the supervision of the Area Technical Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs initial and monthly deliveries of dialysis machines, water treatment systems, and ancillary supplies to home dialysis patients' homes, nursing homes/rehabilitation centers, and jails.
Arranges and schedule delivery to accommodate patients' needs as much as possible.
Picks up all equipment and ancillary supplies when the patient is no longer on the home dialysis program promptly.
Maintains appropriate documentation of delivered supplies including delivered Epogen.
Receives and maintains supplies and inventory in the facility warehouse. Performs the inventory count each month and reports to corporate promptly by facility policies and procedures.
Under the direction of the equipment technician, aids in the repairs and maintenance of the dialysis equipment and water systems according to the manufacturer's recommendations and industry standards.
Helps to maintain the building by inspecting for and replacing any burned-out bulbs or making minor repairs.
Maintains the company truck by facility policies and procedures. Reports any areas that need repairs to the Area Technical Manager.
Maintains/completes mileage log for deliveries.
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree: six months of related experience and/or training, related experience preferred and the employee must complete the facility orientation and training program.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS: Interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and other team members.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATES, & REGISTRATIONS: Employees must maintain a CDL driver's license and pass a Level 1 background screening.
