Dog Handler

Eddie and Barkus Harwood is looking for Dog Handlers and training staff for the newly remodeled Harwood Country Club! We are expanding into a new enrichment program for our dogs and are looking for people who love working with animals. Previous knowledge of canine behavior and training is great, but not necessary. This position will include reception work, supervising of boarding and daycare dogs, and CLEANING. There is lots of cleaning that goes into this job, dogs are messy! ! Responsibilities:
- Handle and care for animals in a safe and compassionate manner
- Assist with animal handling, including walking, feeding, and providing medication
- Clean and maintain kennels, cages, and other animal living areas
- Provide basic grooming services such as bathing and brushing
- Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to staff
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners and answer any questions or concerns they may have

Requirements:
- Previous experience in pet care, such as pet sitting, dog training, or veterinary assistant, is preferred
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks related to animal care
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
- Knowledge of basic animal behavior and health is a plus
- Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work independently

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
