Functions within QA Document Control and specification change control systems and staffing for the whole company, but primarily Manufacturing Operations. Audits OTC/DS work orders for finished and bulk product. Interacts with various departments to keep accurate and current departmental policies, procedures, specifications, label copy, Certificates of Analysis, etc. Documents handled include many of those reviewed by the FDA during their visits. Position is of a technical nature and requires strict adherence to policies and regulations.

Essential

+ Performs activities related to all controlled documents tracked, traced, and maintained including but not limited to SOP's, policies, work orders, specifications, forms, labels, bill of material, etc. including:

+ Routing controlled documents for signatures using Master Control and printed documents.

+ Coordinating the yearly re-evaluation of SOP document reviews.

+ Performing the initiation, routing, review, and final overview of SOPs.

+ Maintaining the document history records for controlled, regulatory documents.

+ Performing approved red-lines on controlled documents.

+ Perform the activities surrounding the posting of internal Certificates of Analysis.

+ Maintains a secure area for all documents and document histories.

+ Interacts with nearly all Melaleuca, Inc. departments.

+ Attends Category Meetings.

+ Interfaces with IT as needed.

+ Works independently in Master Control environment and JDE environment.

+ Reviews for correctness/completeness all regulated work orders for finished and bulk product and releases bulk and product.

+ Identifies discrepancies in the OTC and DS work orders and initiates necessary investigations.

+ Updates and reviews Master Records for all production processes and maintains records in secure electronic and paper form.

+ Scans and files Master Record documents as well as other executed documents.

+ Keeps current in training on all Federal GMP regulations regarding Document Control.

+ Identifies, and performs destruction of outdated documents according to GMP guidelines or assignment of these duties.

+ Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Essential

+ Type a minimum of 50 wpm. Highly skilled in Microsoft Office products is a must.

+ Experience in record keeping and document organization in a setting where controlled documents in a cGMP/regulatory environment are/were used is a

+ Excellent interpersonal skills, phone skills, communication of details, plans, etc.

+ Detail oriented.

+ Ability to remember and follow directions is a

+ Ability to analyze problems, think critically, prioritize, and create solutions is a must.

+ Ability to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced setting. Being self-directed is a must.

+ Ability to work independently and professionally in all situations including the ability to prioritize and independently see all projects through to their completion.

+ Excellent written communication, verbal communication and presentation skills.

Additional

+ Degree/some college in a record-keeping related field or experience in a controlled, regulated document environment.

+ Ability to climb stairs.

+ Familiarity with JDE and Quality Management Systems such as Master Control preferred.

+ Familiarity with GMP & FDA guidelines.

+ Making/Packing or Quality Assurance experience helpful.
