Summary: This position manages the diverts from production on the assigned shift and is responsible for the quality within that shift.

Place a “Hold For Divert Check Placard” on the pallets being checked.
Count the Hand stuffs in the yellow pins. The total number of hand stuffs should match the value recorded on the “QA Sheet”
If there is more than one job from the batch in the yellow bin, use the filename for the job to identify which hand stuffs go with which job.
It is not typical to have hand stuffs and damages from multiple jobs in the same yellow bin.
Confirm that the Operator has checked each area on Quality Assurance Checklist per 100019.7_PCI_INSERT_ QUALITY ASSURANCE CHECKLIST_OP_V1
All jobs in the yellow bin should be from the same batch.
Each package should be checked to ensure that only pages from one sequence number are in any single envelope.

Quality: The sequence number and page counts of each damage packages should relate directly to those recorded on the damage verification sheet
The pages in these packages should be of good quality and free of tears, rips, cuts or holes
There should be no smudges or any issues that obscure the text of the packages.
If any issues exist check that it is not noted on the operator’s paper work.

By the time a mail piece reaches you all issues related to print should have been addressed, Alert the Asst. Insert Lead or Insert Lead if any issues to the hand stuffs that would jeopardize them to be mailed with the job.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Education/Experience:
• Must possess the ability to read and write English. Previous Mail Delivery experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills: Ability to problem solve and apply resolution. Oral Comprehension: The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Oral expression: The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
Physical Requirements: Positions in this class require frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
