Distribution Manager – Rome Distribution AreaDescriptionDistribution Manager – Rome Distribution AreaLocation: Rome Operating Headquarters, Rome, GARelocation assistance may be provided.Summary of PositionThe Distribution Manager (DM) is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the team and operations in the Rome Distribution Area. This includes Rome, Cartersville, Carrollton, Dalton and Trenton operating headquarters in the northwest Georgia area.Leadership expectations and responsibilities include exhibiting behaviors in alignment with the Southern Company “Our Values”, Safety First, Unquestionable Trust, Superior Performance and Total Commitment.The DM will lead the team in a Safety Excellence environment with a focus on learning and ensuring critical risk plans as well as our STEP observation tools are implemented. The DM will have accountability to ensure a culture within the team that is inclusive, builds trust and is continuously improving.
This includes ownership of our Diversity and Inclusion efforts as well leadership in continuing to advance our Southern Company “Ensuring Equity” plans. Development of the team members as well as communications within the team are key responsibilities for the DM.The DM will provide leadership for planning, engineering, design, and construction of all activities in the area and will have area-wide responsibility for all Distribution functional budgets, compliance and system maintenance to ensure reliability. This includes investigating extended or significant outages as well as timely addressing customer issues that arise.
