The Director of Workplaces is the leader of the Workplace and Experience team and owner of our Hubs. The Director of Workplaces develops a team of high performers running all aspects of the building, administrative, facilities, connection, and employee experience in our Hubs. This person is the on-site daily point of contact for the SFO office ensuring our employees receive the best possible experience. The manager works directly with our Workplace and Experience team to drive engagement with our space, community, and services. This role requires high-level communication across every department at Sentry. As the in-person point of contact for our Workplace team and employees, they are the first to address employee questions, solicit and share feedback, and solve problems while leading the team of individuals focused on running a successful building location.
In this role you will- Understand the needs of our Sentaurs in each of our Hubs, and identify opportunities to engage employees and improve their experience
- Discover and analyze gaps in the employee experience. Work cross-functionally to communicate and address those gaps
- Work with the Sentry HR and leadership team to develop initiatives that improve our employee engagement and experience within our regions
- Work closely with the Workplace and Experience team and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement in the employee experience
- Lead and manage the Workplace and Experience team within each building to reach goals and execute on their objectives as an individual and a team
- Oversee and keep the team up to date with process changes
- Responsible for sourcing, selecting, and building out new Hubs
- Coordinate on-site Workplace and Experience team to ensure that projects are completed on time and to standards
- Make recommendations to our physical spaces and buildings on any repairs, maintenance, or updates required in your building
- Manage new requests from employees and identify the correct channels and resources to complete the request
- Design and implement rules, guidelines and best practices for our Workplace and Experience team to optimize and improve the employee experience
- Help plan and host local HH, catered lunches, community and team events
- Develop community initiatives designed to create connections between members, including employee introductions, overseeing events, and electronic and print communications

- 3-5 years management experience minimum
- Skilled relationship and project manager
- Experience in building operations and facilities
- Experience in negotiating and executing lease agreements
- Acts as the main point of contact between Sentry's internal departments for building
- Highly flexible and adaptable to continuous change and growth
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to solve problems with innovative thinking
- Customer service experience required
- Project management and business operations experience required
- Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
- Having the ability to be proactive while providing a sense of urgency and ownership for building escalations

The base salary range (or hourly wage range, if applicable) that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $160,000 to $270,000. A successful candidate's actual base salary (or hourly wage) amount will be determined by a variety of relevant factors including, without limitation, the candidate's work location, education, work and other relevant experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry's employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the candidate's position (including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage).
