Job Description: Sober Living Housing Director
Location: Akron, Ohio
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Sober Living Housing Director. As the director, you will be responsible for managing a team of 10 staff members and ensuring the smooth operations of our sober living housing facility in Akron, Ohio. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of addiction recovery and support services.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of 10 staff members, including house managers, counselors, and support staff.
- Provide ongoing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to ensure staff members are delivering high-quality services and adhering to program policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
2. Facility Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sober living housing facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for residents.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage the facility's budget, including monitoring expenses, tracking revenue, and making cost-effective decisions to maximize resources.
3. Resident Support and Case Management:
- Provide direct support and guidance to residents in their recovery journey, including facilitating group meetings, conducting individual counseling sessions, and assisting with goal setting and relapse prevention planning.
- Collaborate with external service providers, such as healthcare professionals, counselors, and community organizations, to ensure residents have access to comprehensive support services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential resident records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
4. Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders, including community organizations, treatment centers, and government agencies, to enhance program visibility and access to resources.
- Represent the organization at community meetings, conferences, and events to promote awareness of the sober living housing program and advocate for addiction recovery services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role within the addiction recovery or supportive housing field.
- Strong knowledge of addiction recovery principles, relapse prevention strategies, and community resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with residents, staff members, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, program development, and budget management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Pay: $76,822.00 - $87,734.00 per year
