In order to build and drive our unified global marketing and communication strategy, we are looking for a Director of Marketing & Communications. With your depth and variety of experience, you'll integrate our core values and service identity model into all of our internal and external communications. By strengthening our existing brand, you will play a crucial role in advancing our business. As we continue to build value-added services for our clients, you'll be instrumental in helping us communicate that value.

How you’ll make an impact:
- Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance NovaSource Power’s brand identity; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities, and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences
- Create a marketing/public relations strategy that will allow NovaSource Power’s leadership to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences, including the media and key influencers
- Identify challenges & opportunities: and emerging issues faced by the organization. Work with our leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions, and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them. You’ll also play a key role in helping our brand reach new market segments and expand market share.
- Lead and inspire: the Marketing Communication Team to develop and execute effective marketing strategies across multiple communication channels such as trade shows, marketing collateral, and electronic media such as LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc. Drive consistency of message across the business segment.
More specifically, you’ll be responsible for:
- Building a clear internal and external brand message that is consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages, and promotional material.
- Developing and executing the strategic commercial marketing plan in support of the overall strategy, optimizing the development of products and services.
- Serving as a spokesperson and Communications Counselor to our business and the Leadership team. You’ll be trusted as the Lead point person on media interactions that help promote and/or impact the organization.
- Leading the analysis of our customer behavior and determining customer personas.
- Overseeing the development of all NovaSource Power’s print communications including marketing collateral materials and electronic communications including NovaSource Power’s website and new media; managing relationships with associated customers.
- Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the communications function including recruitment, budgeting, planning, and staff development.

To be successful, you’ll need to have:
- Variety of extensive experience successfully leading marketing or communications teams at an international enterprise level
- An understanding of Content Marketing, Customer Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, and/or Global Marketing Operations is required for this role, but expertise in at least one will guarantee your consideration.
- Experience establishing and implementing a multi-year marketing and communication plan at an enterprise level
- A minimum educational achievement of a bachelor’s degree (preferably masters) in a related field
- Proven success in hiring, mentoring, developing, leading, and retaining staff
- Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy, persuasion, oral and written communication, public speaking, consensus building, and decision-making
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
