Job Description
The Director of Field Operations proactively oversees and manages personnel engaged in the process of installing and servicing Fiber to the Premise within Omni Fiber This position is responsible for directing external and internal personnel to fulfill functions including installations, Service visits, training and safety, fleet management, metric based reporting on performance of team, customer service, Field Maintenance of the fiber optic plant, management of the active fiber cabinets, Fiber Distribution Hubs, and central office locations. The position requires comprehensive, operational-specific knowledge of the above functions, as well as strong management and communication skills.

We have an experienced team of telecommunications executives, who have previously built and operated fiber optic networks and have a $250M equity investment from an experienced telecommunications investor, Oak Hill Capital Partners. We began construction in several cities in Northern Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs Area Managers in the daily and weekly planning process around install and repair completion, special projects, training, safety, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Implements operational standards and procedures to deliver efficiency and an optimal customer experience.
- Develops a strong understanding of vendor contract intricacies and ensures the team enforces compliance among the vendor community in accordance with company standards and practices.
- Takes actions necessary to meet project budget and schedule requirements.
- Directs and approves the development and implementation of in-house and subcontractor schedules as required to meet customer demand.
- Manages and maintains a technician on call rotation to provide customers 24/7 service availability when services are impacted.
- Facilitate effective collaboration and communication with internal organizations. Partner with those organizations to implement the best-in-class programs and processes to address customer needs and drive improvement with CSAT.
- Coordinates with Supply Chain and Material Managers to review all site procured materials needed to complete field work.
- Conducts weekly coordination meetings with internal technicians and 3rd party leadership.
- Reports weekly assigned metrics and performance status to VP of Operations.
- Performs project updates in Omni software programs and must have knowledge of computer functions, excel, word, power point.
- Implements Omni's training program for both contractors and employees. Provide ongoing development and mentorship across the Field Operations team.
- Hire, develop and maintain an effective team of managers to appropriately scale and meet aggressive installation targets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years telecommunications Field Operations leadership experience in residential and business services is preferred.
- Experience deploying core business processes in a high growth environment.
- Technical background in telecommunications and network builds/design/technology
- Customer centric perspective and a proven track record of driving best-in-class customer experience.
- Any other combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be considered.
- Bachelor degree in related field
