Description of Work

The Director of Dogwood Resource Center administratively and professionally supervises licensed teachers, Classroom-based Trainer 1s and Classroom-based Trainer 2s working in the Lakeside area of campus. The position professionally supervises adult basic education positions. Educational staff provide both formal and informal instructional activities in a variety of settings including classrooms, work sites, homes, and community settings.

This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.

Salary Grade ED23 ; Recruitment Range $44,100.00 - $73,382.00
Position 60048675 - Professional Services/Dogwood Resource Center - Monday - Friday, 1st shift (8:00a - 5:00p).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Management Preferences:

  • Management prefers experience in teaching and behavior management skills, behavioral interventions, as well as experience developing and utilizing IEPs.
  • Management prefers experience working with adults with severe developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in Teaching Area with or eligible to receive a license level of one of the following: A, M, S, D. Must be Highly Qualified for EC, Elementary, or Core Area.

Degrees must be from appropriately accredited colleges or universities.
