- Now they are looking for a Director of Commercial Operations to lead their commercial pool division. This role ensures the effective and efficient management of all commercial projects and personnel including but not limited to meeting schedules/deadlines, building relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, etc., meeting budgets, quality metrics and safety standards. This position will manage work of Project Managers, General Superintendents, Superintendents and Assistant Project Managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensures all project schedules and weekly updates are complete and on target
- Builds and maintains relationships with employees, Project Owners, General Contractors, Architects and Engineers
- Facilitates internal and external meetings as needed
- Ensures weekly project schedule updates and pictures are sent to owners and internal company leadership
- Ensures projects are maintained within budget
- Manages department budget and P&L
- Manages subcontractors and relevant accounts payables
- Coordinates with Sales, Accounting, Procurement and Field personnel as needed
- Lead by example
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years’ work experience preferably in general construction, concrete, plumbing and/or electrical.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business or related field is preferred but will look at a combination of work experience and education.
- Must have experience implementing processes and procedures.
- Must have experience managing P&L and budgets.
- Must have experience with contract negotiations and buyout.
- Must be able to work from the office and in the field.
- Must have strong organizational skills to manage large amount of detail
- Must have the ability to plan out tasks proactively
- Must have the ability to network within the industry.
- Must have strong communication skills with many levels of business associates
- Should understand the construction processes and sequencing.
- Self-motivated, self-starter
- Ability to use basic office equipment – phone, computer, copier
- Valid, Texas Drivers’ License is required

- Base salary up to 150k/year or more depending on experience.
