Director of Burn Unit

We have partnered with one of the top hospital chains in the U.S. for the Director of Burn Services position. The job is at one of their Georgia hospitals in the eastern part of the state. Relocation costs and a sign-on bonus are available. F.T. Weekdays with no weekends.

2-3 years of burn unit experience and 3-5 years of management experience are required. The candidate in the role MUST have experience leading and managing a Burn Unit. Strong and proven leadership skills in burn services are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Director of Burn Services is responsible for integrating the Burn Services department with the hospital's primary functions. The Director also coordinates and integrates services within the burn department. The Director will develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.

The Director recommends sufficient qualified and competent persons to provide care/service. They assure the qualifications and competence of those staff members (who are not licensed independent practitioners) to meet the needs of patient care and non-patient care services. Other duties include ensuring orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in burn services provided.

EDUCATION BACKGROUND

ADN required. BSN required within 24 months of hire

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

Must hold a current G.A. R.N. license or eNLC license required, BLS required (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
