Our customer-focused teams are built on our core values: Community, Integrity, Agile, and Committed.Requirements: SUMMARY: The Director of Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) will lead the day-to-day functions of the AP and AR departments including managing, mentoring, and motivating departmental personnel, leading and improving processes to maximize efficiency and results, and leading efforts to resolve complex issues. This role involves close interaction with various departments throughout the Authority including providing updates to senior management and working with other internal groups to understand and anticipate issues around AP and AR processes.HIERARCHY: This role will report to Global Controller.PRIMARY DUTIES:Act as a resource to help resolve complex problems and issues.Lead and/or assist special AR and AP-related projects.Implement new/additional processes, policies, internal controls, and "best practices" for the Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Departments.Act as a resource to help resolve complex problems and issues.Lead and/or assist special AR and AP-related projects.Prepare, maintain, balance, and analyze financial data related to AP/ARReview the monthly AR aging reportsAssist with monthly status (aging) reports and month-end closingReview/approve credit memos, process AR corrections, and review/post AR cash receipts to ensure the integrity of the AR subsidiary ledger.Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before paymentMaintains all AP reports, spreadsheets, and filesTrain staff as neededCOMPENTENCY:Outstanding organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.Exhibit leadership skills with ability to assign tasks and manage workloads. Connects well with others and highly collaborative team approach to work. Excellent individual initiative and objective-oriented drive. Ability to handle difficult situations with a high degree of diplomacy and composureBe able to present to executive managementREQUIRED EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA) preferred EXPERIENCE:Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, QuickBooks, and/or ConnectWise a plusExperience leading a team of finance professionals' team of 10+. Knowledge about internal controls LANGUAGE SKILLS: EnglishQUALIFICATIONS:8+ years' experience in AR/AP role3-5 years of experience in similar management role.Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Dynamics Great PlainsPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand Regularly understand the speech of another person Frequently work on projects that require deadlines WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid- 3 days in office 2 days remote *Training in officeEXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
