Director of Alternative Education (AEDY)

Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems is looking for a Director of Alternative Education who is responsible for coordination and implementation of services for AEDY students as well as providing instruction and/or support for Character Education classes for special education students.

Beacon Light operates a privately licensed school program designed to provide education for children who have been unsuccessful in traditional classroom settings. This program offers the opportunity for academic success, and encourages students to value education and learning all within a safe, structured setting. Alternative education is available to children living in the community or in one of Beacon Light's residential programs. Additionally, Beacon Light offers a highly customized, autistic support classroom within the school.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must have one of the following credentials: certified school counselor, licensed social worker, school social worker, certified/licensed therapist, certified addictions counselor (as appropriate), school psychologist, psychologist or an appropriate credential in a behavioral health discipline.
