Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Accountants; Manage (intercompany) reconciliations, month- and year-end closings, as well as internal and external audits.
- Improve and document processes for all accounting procedures; ensure correct statements of monthly BS and P&L; produce error-free accounting reports and present the results.
- Collaborate with Group Accounting, FP&A Team, and Operations to develop best-in-class practices; Steer and work with offshore accounting team to find most efficient setup.
- Support & drive development and rollout of new ERP system (Business Central).
- Analyze financial information & summarize financial status; review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures; provide input into departments goal-setting process.
- Mentor & provide technical support and advice on any Accounting-related matters; Develop solutions to existing and upcoming problems & challenges.
- Participate in financial standards-setting and in the forecast process.
- Prepare financial statements and produce required reporting according to schedule and Group guidelines; Develop and document business processes & accounting policies to maintain & strengthen internal controls; ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS principles.
- Manage and collect Patient A/R.
- Oversee all tax matters and ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Candidate must have experience as a Director of Accounting, leading a team of Accounting & finance professionals.
- Candidate must have experience working in a large, global organization (dealing with international offices and offshore Shared Services).
- Excellent track record in improving and streamlining processes and taking ownership of tight deadlines; Ability to multitask and wear a variety of hats when the position calls for it.
- CPA is a huge plus, but not a requirement; Bachelors Degree is a MUST.
Excellent Microsoft Office Suite experience (Excel, Word); experience with accounting software (i.e. SAP, Oracle) is helpful. - 5-10 years of experience in a Director of Accounting role.
