This role is a key IT role that is embedded within the business and leads a team of IT Business Partners who are responsible for multiple lines of business and functions. Candidates for this role demonstrate executive presence, superior communications and have a track record of high performance and demonstrated potential for IT senior leadership roles. The team is responsible for IT alignment to company strategic objectives and current challenges. Both a relationship builder and a problem solver, this individual seeks to develop an environment of mutual trust and respect, while reinforcing the notion of IT as a strategic partner to the organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Strategic Business Partnership
- Work closely with the CIO and lines of business and functions to align IT strategy and delivery to business strategy and operational needs
- Lead a team of business partners aligned by line of business and/or function. Ensure IT strategies and plans across business partners are integrated and well-align to support the line of business and/or function. Maximize leverage of IT capabilities as enablers of meeting business goals and objectives. Director level Business Partners drive IT strategies representing lines of business and functions representing 25% or more of the workforce and/or revenue.
- Synthesize business strategy, technology translation, demand pipeline, focused on near and longer term IT priorities for the business
- Manage capital forecast; build consensus across business stakeholders to enable effective investment pipeline management.
- Support customer with business cost estimates and business case development; maximize ROI.
- Conduct monthly or quarterly delivery reviews with executive leadership (program and operational tailored by LOB)
- Develop, maintain and continually enhance a communications and messaging strategy - and approval process - across Executives, key stakeholders and IT leaders.
- Manage customer expectations and perceptions in order to optimize customer satisfaction. Act as a key escalation point for customers regarding IT issues that have a high operational impact.
- Build a high-performing team that is able to incorporate market and technical insights into Rentokil-Terminix’s business & technology strategy.
- Program Delivery
- Direct cross-functional teams to generate & execute technology roadmaps.
- Align teams and resources to successfully deliver strategic programs. Delivering upon key programs such as M&A, “Best of Breed”, and “Employer of Choice”.
- Partner with IT PMO & Enterprise PMO for effective program management, including the alignment of areas of responsibility and continually improving overall program delivery.
- Strategic Partner & Operational Excellence
- Maintain IT Scorecard for presentation to Executive Leadership. Measure IT effectiveness as a valued business partner. Convey strategies, initiatives and key projects to increase value.
- Partner with Global Service Delivery reporting team to develop and/or recommend new or improved reporting tools, as appropriate.
- Deliver relevant insights and metrics to NA IT Leadership Team related to both department and company goals and initiatives, as applicable. When appropriate, share onward with NA leaders in each line of business.
- Liaising with and coordinating regional, global & external teams to create and execute product / program implementation plans.
- Partnering with IT PMO to increase performance, value & ROI of the IT supply base.
- Executing comprehensive financial analyses, particularly Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses, to calculate and communicate the total cost of business systems and IT services.
What do you need?
- 4 Year degree in Information Technology, Business or related field required; masters degree is a plus.
- 5-7 years of IT and/or business management experience.
- Demonstrated engagement with C-suite leadership.
- IT strategy development through executive engagement. Customer focused, with consultancy and business analyst skills.
- Has worked in two or more of the following IT functions: Applications, Infrastructure, Operation, Service Delivery.
- Building & fostering relationships across department lines, and encouraging opportunities for collaboration to reach a goal.
- Demonstrated executive presence and engagement
- Displays up to date knowledge of significant areas of operational and/or development environments
- Good all around high-level technical knowledge; must be able to sort the technical wood from the trees
- Able to interact and liaise between multiple technical teams (and customers, when appropriate) to move open issues forward to agreement and/or resolution
- Customer Service techniques ensuring that full account is taken of customers’ needs (real and stated) in the delivery of IT services
- Knowledge of IT applications, infrastructure and key projects
- Must pass pre-employment background screen
