Veralto Corporation

On September 14, 2022, Danaher announced its intention to separate its Environmental & Applied Solutions segment to create an independent, publicly traded company.   The new company will be called Veralto and will be comprised of an outstanding collection of market-leading brands in Danaher's Environmental and Applied Solutions (EAS) segment:  Hach, ChemTreat, Trojan, OTT HydroMet, and McCrometer from Danaher's Water Quality Platform and Videojet, Esko, X-Rite Pantone and Linx from the Product Identification Platform.

The EAS segment generated revenue of approximately $4.8 billion in 2022 and has a global team of approximately 16,000 associates. As stewards of the world's most vital resources, Veralto will help ensure billions of people have safe food, water, and medicines every day.

With a strong Danaher heritage, the Veralto team will continue to deliver trusted expertise to solve its customers' most complex workflow challenges.  Its culture of continuous improvement will be codified in the Veralto Enterprise System, which is derived from the Danaher Business System.

 Veralto will be headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, and intends to apply to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol VLTO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the VP Internal Audit in managing and leading the global internal audit function, which includes North America, Asia, Europe, and South America.
  • Financial audit lead for the following key responsibilities of internal audit:
    • Executing on financial audits ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
    • Management and oversight of the Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) program.
  • Assist in planning and execution of high-quality financial audits and reviews, generally under the supervision of the Internal Audit VP.
  • Complete assigned portions of engagements, including testing, work paper documentation and report drafting while on site or shortly after completion of field work and submit to the Internal Audit VP on a timely basis.
  • Acquire a good understanding of the audit location’s business and industry.
  • Develop positive working relationships with audit location finance teams.
  • Be a point of contact for accounting questions or concerns coming from the locations.
  • Lend special skillsets or experience to engagements where needed, e.g., language ability, process or forensic audit skills, etc.
  • Assist as required with miscellaneous reporting needed for senior management or Audit Committee presentations.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years experience.
  • At least 6 years with a “Big Four” audit firm at the manager level.  Only under very limited situations will a candidate be considered if they are not yet at the manager level at a Big 4 audit firm, but they must at least be within a year of making manager.  Internal audit experience with a “Fortune 500” company a plus.
  • BS in Accounting & CPA required; MBA preferred; CIA or CISA a plus.
  • Experience with SEC public company reporting is required.
  • Experience with SOX 404 and internal control assessments is required.
  • Must be knowledgeable in US GAAP.
  • Experience with manufacturing companies and cost accounting is highly preferred.
  • Experience with consolidation accounting and reporting in multi-national companies is highly preferred.
  • Must be comfortable with all aspects of the financial audit cycle including risk assessment and scoping, designing and executing audit procedures, and proposing and presenting audit recommendations.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.  Strong business and common sense.
  • Career-motivated, dedicated, committed leader. Must be willing to travel both on a domestic and international basis.
  • Be able to influence peers, subordinates and superiors.
  • Ability to prioritize on a real time basis.
  • Ability to analyze complicated issues and boil down to the key points, develop action plans and bring to a successful conclusion.
  • Must have strong managerial courage – ability to make the tough decision and to not be overly sensitive (thick skinned), be able to effective play catch ball (idea/issue back and forth discussion) and think on their feet.
  • Will display and operate in a way that never compromises Ethics and integrity, and will be non-political in all dealings with agendas that are above board and understood by all.

Internal Audit Structure:

  • 6 total in Internal Audit (including Internal Audit VP), with two associates reporting to the Internal Audit Director - Finance

This can be at our Waltham, MA headquarters with flexibility. We will consider REMOTE Travel is estimated up to 30%.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
