Director II Compliance

Location:  This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Director II Compliance is responsible for directing compliance/implementation initiatives.

How you will make an impact:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advocate and innovate strategic programming that corrects compliance issues, remediates risk, and advances the company's Compliance Program.

  • Research State/Federal laws and apply thinking to formulate compliance strategies and concepts that drive results, persuade and influence others, adapt to change, and manage conflict.

  • Directs teams and organizational programs with advanced layers, objectives, tasks, stakeholders, requirements; creates policies, procedures and tools needed to operate daily function of program; manage/oversee/influence resources impacting projects or programs from matrixed organizations under different leadership.

  • Review Government Relations and legislative agenda by ensuring C360 alerts are sent out timely and new validation of changes are made and approved.

  • Support Health Plan president in the goals and initiatives leadership would like to implement by ensuring compliance reviews are completed timely and accurately.

  • Lead regional meetings to discuss issues/concerns/objectives and overall goals of Health Plans and organization.

  • Evaluate Cost of Care initiatives to ensure initiative is in compliance with State/Federal rules and regulations

  • Manages or lead advanced compliance monitoring and support internal/external audits

  • Advises, coaches and mentors executives and senior management regarding compliance issues, new initiatives and provides reports as appropriate to relevant committees.

  • Attend State regulatory meetings as required

  • Manages or lead the most advanced investigations, document findings, comply with notification requirements, ensure corrective actions are made.

  • Sets goals for department and direct reports; plan, document and communicate department work, noting accountable direct reports and deadlines; may oversee a manager(s) with direct reports.

  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 10 years of health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience, including a minimum of 5 years of management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experience:

  • Medicaid Managed Care Experience preferred.

  • Health Plan Compliance experience preferred.

  • Audit Experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership/managerial skills and ability to motivate/coach other staff strongly preferred.

  • Traveling to worksite and other locations may be required.

  • MS/MBA/JD or professional designation preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $130,080 to $204,876.

Locations:  California; Colorado; Hawaii; Nevada; New York; Washington State; Jersey City, NJ.
