Position Overview
In support of HP's mission to drive a more digitally enabled workplace and end-to-end business processes, we are seeking an individual for the role of "Director, End-to-End Process Re-engineering & Architecture" to be part of our Digital Process & Automation team.
With the objective of accelerating HP's transformation objective of process digitization, re-engineering & optimization across end-to-end process domains, this role will be responsible to define the strategy, establish an approach, develop a plan, and manage execution for establishing end-to-end process architecture and driving re-engineering efforts through measurable process maturity, performance & improvement objectives.
This role will drive our process transformation efforts and embeds best practices in process design, re-engineering, and improvement implementation across the organization. In partnership with Global Process Owners, business / operational leads, the process re-engineering and architecture team will develop, pilot, and implement efficient, streamlined end-to-end processes that balances customer centricity with operation efficiency, effectiveness, and experiences.
Ideally, the successful candidate should have demonstrated success and experiences in the following areas:
- Competence in orchestration of program management or work projects across various functions, working with both local or distributed direct and indirect resources and teams
- Ability to connect the dots, from processes to systems, to the various roles, tasks and functions (see Eco-systems or System Thinker)
- Strong clear communications across multiple levels in organisations - make complex issues, simple and able to explain simply (sometimes seen as helicopter and ground view interchangeably)
- Past experiences in process engineering e.g. six sigma practitioner or other tools, not academic but practitioner
- Past work experience from various BUs and Org, so that they bring diverse knowledge similar to the Client groups that projects come from.
What you would be doing:
- Engage with Global Process Owners, business / operations leaders to define the end-to-end process maps, process maturity, performance KPIs and opportunities to drive improvement in process standardization, performance (efficiency, effectiveness & experience) and digitization / automation.
- Develop, establish, adopt a process maturity framework to measure process performance, maturity, digitization to drive analysis and prioritization of process improvement / automation focus across end-to-end process domains.
- Ongoing identification, evaluation, intake, and prioritization of process improvement (through process re-engineering and automation) initiatives.
- Ensure initiatives to align to strategy, to deliver clear measurable outcome (financial, strategic, and operational KPIs) and provide progress visibility against those initiatives.
- Guide the team in establishing process models, frameworks, and re-engineering methodologies.
- Manage multiple, complex initiatives in parallel with ongoing reporting to executive leadership.
- Effectively communicate with cross functional teams to bring alignment on improvement opportunities and potential value creation across end-to-end process domains.
- Adopt and leverage industry standard tools such as process mining, business process management, process simulation to define / document business processes, analyze process performance gaps / inefficiencies, identify improvement/automation opportunities.
- Partner with Process & Automation Communities Engagement & Enablement team to drive building, maturing and nurturing process excellence community of practitioners.
- Coach, mentor and develop staff and team of process architects, process re-engineering experts, developing career plans for each.
- Represent Process Architecture organization in critical meetings and forums.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Operations / Finance / Management; MBA is desirable
- 15+ years of proven experience in global, cross-functional end-to-end process architecture, redesign, transformation, and improvement working in a complex environment
- Extensive experience in, knowledge and understanding of the high technology industry business models and core processes for hardware, software and services & subscription manufacturing, marketing, selling, renewal, support, and finance
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills and experience in managing senior stakeholder (VP level and up) relationship, partnership, and interactions; demonstrated ability to influence at all levels in the organization
- Demonstrated ability to translate lean, six sigma and process improvement tools and methodologies into simple, practical action
- Experience leading, building and maturing an experienced team of process architects, process re-engineering experts and coaching leaders with change management on new processes
- Success at leading cross functional workshops and kaizen events
- Demonstrated success influencing senior leadership decision making, leading steering committee reviews, and facilitating problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to build, maintain relationship and navigate a large global organization using formal and informal networking skills
- Breadth of knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, design thinking, process mining, business process management tools, methodology and statistical analysis and the practical application of the same in solving business problems
- Domain Expertise in at least 3 value streams out of the following: (1) Idea to Offering (2) Demand to Quote (3) Order to fulfillment (4) Invoice to Cash (4) Issue to resolution (5) Procure to Pay (6) Record to Report (7) Hire to Retire
