Job Description
Direct Support Professionals work with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities by teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry. Additional duties may include:
• Assisting residents with daily personal tasks, including toileting, bathing, brushing teeth and dressing
• Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying
• Transporting residents to medical appointments as needed
• Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific resident dietary needs.
• Encouraging resident engagement in social activities
Qualifications:
• This is an entry level position and no previous experience in this field is required
• Applicants must have a HS diploma or GED
• Must be at least 19 years of age and have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Job Types
• Full Time
• 2nd Shift Starting at $15.65/HR
• 3rd Shift Differential
• Part Time
• Per Diem (Must commit to at least one shift per pay period )
Salary
• $15.65-$17.15 Based on Education and Experience
