What you’ll be doing...
The Director of Enterprise Sales for Verizon Connect leads an organization of Associate Directors and Enterprise Sales Partners. This team of 25+ is responsible for enabling our prospects and customers in the world’s leading companies to leverage Verizon Connect’s full spectrum of innovative telematics and logistics services, and software and hardware technology to enable growth, drive efficiency and safety, and optimize investor returns. In this role, you will be responsible for this segment’s strategic direction and be involved in aligning Verizon Connect to the Verizon Business Enterprise sales strategy. The Director will have revenue responsibility and regularly meet with enterprise customers, partner executives, and decision-makers.
The Director will be dedicated to developing business solutions for customers and leading all sales functions in Verizon Connect North America Enterprise Sales, with the goal of meeting and exceeding all business metrics/objectives, including revenue, sales, and SG&A. The key strategic priorities will be to maximize revenue growth through the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of sales, marketing, and service programs and initiatives. The Director will react to market opportunities and competitive changes, address sales performance weaknesses, and move swiftly to prospect and upsell/cross-sell opportunities through the implementation of targeted campaigns and organization design/strategy.
The Director will make sound and timely business decisions to drive short-term and long-term performance, align selling resources with the greatest opportunities in the most cost-effective ways, ensure all sales employees are treated fairly and are paid accurately, improve sales performance through better processes, technology, and methodologies, and build and maintain a world-class sales culture. Other responsibilities will include:
Aligning daily sales activity to the Verizon Credo, Code of Conduct, and Selling with Integrity standards
Maintaining accurate forecast metrics and reporting
Directing, coaching, and mentoring sales team to meet/exceed key performance metrics
Measuring the effectiveness of sales team customer engagement, relationship development and security expertise
Matrix managing all stakeholders, including Customer Success, Support, Marketing, and Product Management, to align to consistent strategy and execution worldwide
Where you'll be working...
This Mobile Hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and field with and office days as set by the manager.
You will need to have:
Bachelor's Degree in a business-related discipline and/or equivalent work experience; MBA strongly desired
8+ years of sales leadership experience
12+ years of Enterprise sales experience
Even better if you have:
Experience leading teams at a SaaS company
Demonstrated track record of being a consistent top performer (top20%) in a B2B solution sales leadership role
Experience leading teams, including people leaders; a leader with proven managerial abilities
Experience with team leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to coach, mentor, and train others within Verizon
Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple, highly complex, cross-functional projects; ability to work under pressure of tight timelines
Strong business financial analysis skills; high attention to detail
Strong analytical skills, with successful experience in securing and analyzing large volumes of data to make recommendations toward achieving specific operational goals
Presentation skills for executive-level management, public groups, etc.
Self-motivated, resilient, can-do attitude to overcome obstacles and find resolution in sometimes difficult condition
