Job Description
T3 Technician:
- The T3 Technician performs minor to advanced repairs.
- Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT).
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
- Have basic knowledge and experience of a Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
- Must have minimum tool requirement.
Performs maintenance and repair duties including:
Tractor
- Diagnose and troubleshoot active and inactive codes.
- Perform engine overhaul..
- Identify and troubleshoot Electrical issues.
- Identify and troubleshoot Transmission issues .
- Identify and troubleshoot the Aftertreatment system.
- Replace foot and relay valves, air dryers, air tanks, airlines, and other similar components.
- Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision.
- Identify the root cause of Leaks (Air, Coolant, Transmission fluid, and Oil).
- Check and adjust brakes as needed.
- Perform brake shoe replacement on Tractor and Trailer.
- Measure drums, rotors, cam bushings.
- Identify refrigerant and oil leaks.
- Skill Area: A/C, Heater & Refrigeration: A/C recycling and recovery certified within 90 days (CF609) & A/C trained and qualified within 180 days (AC220&AC298)
Trailer
- Replace S cams, bushings, slack adjusters, and shims.
- Repair and replace tire and wheel assemblies.
- Perform nail hole repairs.
- Install E-Tracks on trailers.
- Install new Roll Up Door.
- Replace Rear door panels as required.
- Replace door rollers.
- Check and test lighting system.
- Check and adjust brakes as needed.
- Install scuff liner on trailers.
- Patch and/or replace the tire.
Pay: $35-$50/ HR.
40+ HRS Weekly.
40+ HRS Weekly.
Qualifications:
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be willing to travel 25% of the time.
- Open and Close repair orders in the TMS system .
- Order parts as needed.
- Issue POs for Parts.
- Manage Inventory .
- Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents (troubleshooting guides/Manuals).
- Other support duties as required to support operations. These could include but are not limited to picking up drivers and/or equipment.
- Pass Drug Test.
- Pass a DOT physical.
