Job Description
• Performs quality repairs and maintenance on all Heavy truck and diesel engines as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspections.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Complete major repairs within specified times.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair non-typical vehicle issues.
• Consult with Service Advisor about status of the vehicle repairs.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to all level of technicians.
• Accurately completes all paperwork including repair information on work orders and keeping detailed records on all work performed.
• Ability to organize the work presented and plan for the highest efficiency and productivity in the performance of all job functions.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are properly working.
• Consistently maintains training and education as assigned by management and participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and recommend improvements for shop safety.
• Display work ethic it takes to ensure each job is done efficiently and completely.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.
• Current and valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing a superior customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of diagnostic software.
