Design Engineer (UI/UX) - Canto Reality

Location: Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid)

As we embark on this journey, we are looking for a talented Design Engineer with a focus on UI/UX to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview:

As a Design Engineer specializing in UI/UX at Canto Reality, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and interface of our groundbreaking product. Your expertise will drive the creation of intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing design solutions that resonate with our target audience. Working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, you will leverage your creativity and technical skills to deliver designs that enhance user engagement and contribute to the product's success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement innovative UI/UX solutions that meet project goals and user needs, focusing on consumer social, gaming, and generative AI platforms.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure cohesive and effective design strategies.

- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.

- Develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups, and specifications as necessary.

- Stay abreast of UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, incorporating them into designs to enhance user experience.

- Ensure designs are scalable, responsive, and optimized for various devices and platforms.

- Provide a GitHub, portfolio, or website URL showcasing previous work and contributions to relevant projects.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 4 to 7 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably with exposure to consumer social, gaming, and/or generative AI.

- Proficiency in Typescript, JavaScript, Python, and React Native, as well as the comfort to use additional languages and frameworks as necessary.

- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and prototyping tools.

- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for delivering compelling user experiences.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Ideal candidates come from consumer tech companies like Instagram, AirBNB, Spotify, Dropbox, Whatsapp, Notion, Uber, Apple, Square, Worldcoin, Mana, ScaleAI

- Ability to work in a hybrid office environment, with 3 days per week in our Palo Alto office. For the right candidates, remote work within the USA will be considered.
