The City of Byrnes Mill is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Deputy City Clerk.
As a Deputy City Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of our city government. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update files, records, and documents
- Manage calendars and schedule appointments
- Provide exceptional customer support to residents and city officials
- Coordinate projects and assist with project management tasks
- Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, copying, and filing
- Assist with front desk operations including answering phone calls and directing visitors
- Assist with event planning and coordination
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with QuickBooks
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
